Today I am going to pick up my preview for my wedding invitations. Last week on my five for Friday I posted a picture of some invitations I liked from Wedding Paper Divas, but I am trying to be a bit thrifty(because who doesn't like a deal). I found another set on Etsy I LOVED, but they were around $5.50 each. YIKES!! That's over a $1000 bucks for invitations (I think not). I decided to buy some clip art and design them myself. Here is what I came up with.

Yes this is only half of the card. I didn't want all the personal information given out :)

I will also be stopping by a local store in downtown to complete my wedding registry. It is a cutesy little store that sells a lot of Glory Haus products. How cute is this?

I am still working towards my fitness goal of four times a week strength training and three times a week cardio. I am working off of a plan I found online and it is killer!

I'm so excited in a nerdy way. My grandmother called me this week and said since your getting married I thought you might could use some extra cookware and I am cleaning mine out. She told me to come and get a set of Visions that she has had since the early 1980s. Ok in my mind I thought Visions what is that? So of course I googled it and voila it appeared. Yes I know what you're thinking (how grandma is that). But no dear friends I love retro and my kitchen loves these new pieces. As long as I can keep Wes from breaking it.

Last, but not least, our report cards go home today. Now let me ask this does everyone do standards based report cards or is it just me. It can be the bane of my existence. I kid you not I have what seems to be a million standards to grade per children times the 27 students I have, so you get a billion total. I get that my math my seem off a bit, but that is the point. It is toooooo much especially when the parents don't know how to cipher what it says. Don't worry I cropped out the student info, but here is just one page of the report cards and there are three pages for each student. The bottom two pictures are the rubrics for math and ela.

Favorite Things Linky & Hump Day Highlight

I'm linking up with Teaching Trio for a favorite things linky. Oh how hard it is to narrow down three top favorite picks, but they are below. Enjoy!

My new kicks came from Kohl's where I purchased them online because I saw on Brad's Deals that they were having a nike special. I also had Kohl's cash and reward points, so I was able to score them for the low price of $30. I was pleased with that considering that was more than 50% off.

The mug situation is that I am obsessed with Race Trac coffee. Now you have to understand I just began drinking caffeine recently due to my lack of energy throughout the school day. Race Trac periodically runs specials on free coffee for a week and if you know me I will wait in line for anything free. At this point I am completely addicted and frequent the gas station.

The otter box phone case is a lifesaver. I am such a fan of otter box cases and why not love my favorite color navy mixed with little polka dots. It serves it's purpose and I am grateful for that.

I am also joining Mrs. Stanford's Class for hump day highlight. I am currently doing and using a lot of resources in my classroom. Scroll down to find out the latest scoop.

Since I work in Georgia we are implementing a new teacher evaluation know as TKES. It has its positive and negative facets. One of the important check off's for the administration to see in your room are your standard's posted. I printed and laminated these and put them on rings. I then hung them on my board with 3M hooks, so that I could flip them as we progress through our standard's throughout the year (seems simple enough).

If you are a fourth grade teacher be prepared to buckle your seat belt and prepare for resources a plenty. I will post the topics I am covering and a link to my TPT store to show products that I sale that pertain to the current topics I am covering. Sunday Scoop

I'm linking up with Teaching Trio for the Sunday Scoop. It's a new year and hears to blogging more and utilizing blogging by leaving a piece of insight into the world wide web. Today is Sunday and I am resting from after church and eating a scrumptious salad for lunch. We are currently resting before we go to pick up a piece of furniture I found on Craiglist. Wes was not feeling it when I suggested it last night, but I convinced him it was a good idea (I hope I don't end up eating my words). At least I have Wes with me so I don't end up on Dateline for picking up a piece of furniture. I sat down to write a little blog post linky, so here goes.

I'm working on keeping up with the blog life and discussing lots of different topics!

January Pick 3 Pinterest Linky

I'm linking up with Pawsitively Teaching for Pick 3 Pinterest picks. Since I have been off now for two week (it has been glorious by the way) I have been on Pinterest quite a lot. Here are my top three pins that I have found during the break.

This is the holy grail for coconut oil uses! What a great list. A must read for anyone interested in living healthy and DIY.

The other day while perusing around at TJ Maxx (one of my favorite stores) I came across some coconut oil. My fiance has already told me about how healthy it is and the nutritional benefits of consuming coconut oil, but I came across this pin about a variety of different uses. I am glad that I picked up a jar. I will definitely be trying out some of these soon! I tried it in my coffee this morning and used it as face scrub yesterday.

When I first ordered a starter kit from Young Living, I received 11 oils and I had NO idea what to do with them. I knew they smelled good, they lifted my mood, and freshened my home, but I had no i...

Ok so have you jumped on the essential oils bandwagon like everyone else has? One of my friends just signed up with Young Living and is crazed about the oils and their benefits. While I was in TJ Maxx shopping and picking up my coconut oil, I actually came across some essential oils. Yes I know you essential oils professionals, it's probably not 100% and is a knock off, but I thought for a newbie why not try it out. I have been researching and pinning about essential oils just basically trying to familiarize myself with the new homeopathic way of medicine.

Last but certainly not least, I better get motivated to use some of my products that I have on TPT and on Pinterest. As most of you probably know, if you are a seller, sometimes the sad truth is that you don't have time to use your own products that you create to sell in your won classroom due to time restraints. Here is a link to my Pinterest board that have a lot of my TPT products.

Five for Friday

Yesterday I went by the school to run some copies for the next few weeks of school for reading, language arts, buddy study (which is our spelling) and homework. I was there for an hour and a half trying to make sure everything was in order for Monday. I now have the Christmas break blues. One.Weekend. Left....

In researching a more intensive workout, I ran across a fitness model Stephanie Buckland. Can I say wow! I am jelly she looks great. I am planning on beginning her workout regimen to get wedding dress ready by June. When I'll probably end up looking like Mama June off of Honey Boo boo with good intentions.

Divider 3
I just got a great deal on my everyday dinnerware for a shower gift from my mom. I found the deal and she bought me twelve place settings for a shower  gift.  The only place I found the dishes I loved was Kohls. I know what you are thinking Kohls has cute dishes?! Actually they do. Most are online only and they don't have a great selection at our store, but I really loved these beaded ones.

Divider 4
Chalkboard Floral - Signature White Wedding Invitations - Coloring Cricket - Orange Sherbet - Orange : Front
I really love these wedding invitations, but I haven't made up my mind yet. They are not traditional black and white with raised letters, so my mom will probably fight me on that one. She thinks we need to adhere to wedding etiquette. Blah! I mean yes my wedding is a six pm, but that doesn't mean it has to be a black tie event.

Do I have any other Georgia bloggers who are concerned with the new state testing this year. I have attended multiple meetings regarding the changing of the CRCT to the GMAP test. Yikes stripes fruit stripe gum!?! This test is more rigorous than the CRCT by a long shot. Considering the CRCT is a struggle for the students at my school. I am planning on the failure rate to sky rocket. This is also a concern due to the fact our raise will be based next year off of test scores (yes my income is based off of nine year olds). Whoever thought of that obviously has never taught in an elementary school. I am hoping for the best, but I am concerned.
